Chris Daniels an electrician in Houston, Texas, had recently been involved in an accident and totaled his Dodge truck. So he has been using public transit since then for his work. On that day, he had a well paying job at “The Galleria” mall, but had to take lot of tools along with him! So he decided to borrow his big sister Julie’s truck.
Chris calls Jules that’s how he calls Julie, “Jules, it’s me Chris. I need to borrow your truck today. I have got a good paying job at the Galleria, got to carry lot of tools”. Julie said, “Sure Chris! you can borrow my truck today, I am not working. But keep in mind that, I will break as many bones in your body as many scratches you have on my truck when you bring it back!”
Chris thought to himself, “Julie is probably his favorite sis, but she could be absolutely brutal when it comes to a fight!”. He remembered it from his own growing-up days fighting with her, ending up losing with lot of bruises and scars. He said, “Come on Jules, you got to be kidding me! you know I am not a bad driver!”
But Chris himself on the other hand, all he had heard since his accident was how to be a safe and a defensive driver! the Do’s and Dont’s of driving! and what not! People have been advising him left, right and centre, pushed him almost over the edge couple of times. But again, it is his favorite sister Julie who’s is teasing him and couldn’t say anything as he is borrowing her truck today!
He drove Julie’s truck at minimum speed safely in the right most lane of I-610, keeping sufficient distance between the cars in front and back, took the exit to the mall, parked at the farmost corner of the mall to ensure there is no scratch on the car even accidently! He thought to himself, “There wouldn’t be lot of people visiting the mall during business hours, so the parking lot cannot fill up! I would be back by then and return Julie’s truck safely back!”
Few hours later, he finished his work, came back to the car, put the tools on the truck and that’s when he noticed there was a door dent on the driver side. To his surprise! there was this old Toyota car parked next to his truck amongst all the empty parking lots!! He thought to himself, “This cannot be happening! God! Why, Why, Why??!! this person had to find the exact next spot to Julie’s truck!! Who in God’s name would do it!!” Looked like his worst nightmare had came true. There was this door dent!!!
He thought to himself, “Jules going to kill me! Nobody in the family would ever trust me!!” On the spur of the moment he became very emotional and went berserk, took the torque wrench from Julie’s car, started smashing that cars windshields, and headlights. Took a screw driver, started scratching the car from roof, hood to the doors. He stopped when he finally punctured all the car’s 4 wheels. He took a cigarrette, lit it and waited for the driver of the other car to show up! His hands were shaking, but he probably would have killed the other driver if he had shown up! After few minutes coming to his senses, decided not to waste any more time and leave! He was still very worried about what Julie was going to do to him!
He knocked the door and Julie opened the door. He handed over the keys to her and bringing up all the courage in this world he said, “Jules, I think I accidentally dented your truck door.”
Julie smilingly goes, “You mean the one on the driver side?” Chris replied, “Yes!”, Julie replied, “Don’t worry! I dented it accidentally last week, it was already there when you borrowed the truck!”
Chris was stunned! stood motion less, not knowing what to say or do!!!
